You'll never go wrong with K&N Sep 02, 2010 I've been using the K&N oil filters for a few years now, great product. it filters oil better than most oil filters out there. oil flow is smooth, I recommend K&N oil filter to everyone out there that does not use it or has not discovered it yet.

Another Excellent K&N Product - Easy to Install and Excellent Quality May 25, 2010 I have used K&N products on my 2004 Corvette and have had excellent results. When my son asked what type of oil filter would be "the best" for his Honda Civic, I immediately looked for a K&N HP-1010 Oil Filter. I was fortunate to find one at a local dealer, but was surprised at the high markup. I am pleased to find them available on Amazon at a reasonable price for the value.
Installation is a snap. The bolt shaped end makes installation and removal simple. I was impressed with the high quality ring and diaphragm. The filter can is very thick, able to withstand all of the problems a gravel road can throw at it.
The only drawback is the price. However, the thicker metal on the can and the durability makes it a deal for my situation. Others also use the K&N HP-1010 Oil Filter for racing and other uses.
K&N oil filter, like their air filters May 11, 2010 Despite all the Reviews and high praise, alost of that comes from advertising and hype remember. Not saying this oil filter is bad, i love it, but it is very expensive for a resin type fiber filter. It will filter well, but not as well as say, glass enchanced nano filters from other brands, especially at this price range. Those other filters may not have as high flow rates, but i do not run a racing dry oil sump system in my car. Some good things about this filter though, it has a thick steel casing and a removal nut, i personally just use my hands to twist off, but for some, the nut can be a real help in taking the filter off. This is a high quality product, do not get me wrong, its just this filter does not fit my situation as well as say, a mobil1 or purolator filter.

Perfect Sep 21, 2009 I haven't dissected the filter so I can't speak to the internal workings but this seems like a good quality filter. I usually used the Mobil 1 M1-110 but this one is far and away better just because of the standard wrench removal. Any 1 inch open or closed ended wrench will work. I actually had to remove the skid plate from my Frontier to get the 110 off because I couldn't find a wrench that fit the tiny little filter. Flow rate seems good, I'd stick with this one.
