Very good Product Aug 25, 2010 I was schepticle at first, but after reading the reviews and trying the product, I can say that this product is a great product. Well manufactured and works as expected. I would recommend it.
Stopped working after a minimum number of uses Aug 18, 2010 This is called a retractable clothes line for a reason: Because it retracts. Or is supposed to. Its retractability was the big appeal for me, since I don't want to have a clothes line strung across my backyard except for when I need it. I used this clothes line 10 times or less, and then it stopped working. It suddenly stopped retracting one day, out of the blue. That amounts to about $1.50 per use, which isn't the end of the world. But why can't companies make good, durable products anymore? We waste so many natural resource manufacturing and shipping what amounts to lots of crap nowadays. Oh well, I can still use the clothes line, but instead of retracting the line I have to coil it up by hand and hang it over the unit that it's supposed to retract into. If you don't mind doing that yourself, buy away!
awesome value, very functional Aug 05, 2010 We love our new clotheslines...they are sturdy and very functional...
we have hung our king size quilt on one line and it held great with no issues...
it is very easy to tighten the line around the provided post underneath and we have had no issues with the taughtness of the line. We have three 4x4 posts, each 8' apart on our back porch...we installed a little hook on the center post so the line could rest on that in the center to help with the weight distribution and alleviate any sagging that may have wanted to take place...if you can support it in the center it will help.
We highly recommend these lines for anyone interested in this type of product...
Sturdy, worth the money Jul 29, 2010 A great clothesline. Very sturdy. Go to the hardware store and get some extra screws and an extra hook, and voila, you can use it outside in summer and move it into basement for winter. If you are drying a heavy load, you'll need to wrap the line around the bracket twice.

Unhappy - wrong color was sent Jul 27, 2010 The picture displayed was white and I was delivered a grey unit, which does not match the room, so I cannot use this product unless I paint it white (which seems more trouble than it would be worth).
